An antique Chinese Cantonese porcelain vase converted into a table lamp with modern electrical fittings. Late Qing dynasty, before 1912. Begonia-shaped vase with mascarons and ring side handles. Hand-painted mountain landscape, animals, and ornaments richly garnish the body. Three light sockets. Cantonese porcelain is the characteristic style of ceramic ware decorated in Guangzhou, the major port for export of Chinese goods to Europe.
