The tightly woven cord of silver tone thread with a tank badge in the center and the Nazi Germany eagle above it. The marksmans cords were introduced on June 29, 1936, to increase interest in marksmanship and to recognize good marksmen. The cords were available in 12 grades for infantry and armored personnel.
