A rare example of the first of five Russian Soviet Marshal of the Soviet Union, Semyon Budyonny uniform tunic. Ca. 1935. It has heavy gold bullion embroidered stars on the collar tabs. Sleeves have heavy gold bullion embroidered stars and sleeve patches with gold Galun embroidery ribbon bar on red base signifying the rank of Marshal of the Soviet Union. The rank of Marshal of the Soviet Union was created in 1935 and abolished in 1991 when the Soviet Union Dissolved. Forty-one people have held this rank. Due to the period 1935 of this uniform, only 5 people had been approved for the rank of Marshal of the Soviet Union. Inside has a silk liner and gilded buttons with a star with hammer, and sickle, and maker stamp on the inside. Has to front pockets on the chest and two side pockets.
